Senior Engineer

Job Title: Freelance Site Engineer

Location: South Lanarkshire

Duration: 3 months

Contract Scotland is collaborating with a prestigious Civil Engineering contractor who are currently seeking a Freelance Site Engineer to work on a rail project in South Lanarkshire with a three months duration.

In this role, you will collaborate with their engineering team to ensure the timely and cost-effective completion of projects, all while upholding the highest standards of quality and service. This position will involve setting out for surfacing, kerbing, drainage lighting plus streetscapes.

Responsibilities:

• Supervising Quality Control processes.
• Setting out.
• Material ordering.
• Orchestrating a well-organised team to maintain on-site quality compliance.
• Producing and reporting weekly site reports.

Here's what you can anticipate:

• Mid April start date for 3 month duration.
• Monday to Friday 7.30am 5pm.
• Hourly rate of £30 to £32 gross DOE.
• Payment methods PAYE, or CIS.

Requirementds:

• A minimum of an HNC level qualification or its equivalent in civil engineering.
• Flexibility and the ability to work independently.
• Previous experience in civil engineering within a contracting environment, which is essential.
• Previous rail experience would be advantageous.
• Valid CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) certification.
• PTS qualification would be advantageous but not essential.
