We are looking for a talented, ambitious, and committed individual to lead this excellent department full-time from January 2025.

The ideal candidate will be a skilled classroom practitioner, experienced in teaching A Levels and GCSEs, passionate about their subject and unstinting in their desire to pass on their enthusiasm to eager and receptive pupils. At the College, Religious Studies is well-supported, and all pupils take the subject until Yr 9, at which point they can choose to take Religious Studies to GCSE and Religious Studies, Christianity, Philosophy, and Ethics to A Level. The Head of Religious Studies will also be responsible for leading, developing and supporting an enthusiastic and committed departmental team.

We seek applicants with vision and imagination, and an ability to foster team spirit. They will be expected to play a full part in shaping the Religious Studies co-curricular provision, including clubs, seminars, trips and visits. Additionally, a commitment to the boarding ethos, excellent pastoral care and enriching co-curricular and outreach activities is expected.
