Role Description

This is a full or part time on-site role for a Corporate Immigration Paralegal or Advisor at Davenport Solicitors. As a Corporate Immigration Paralegal or Advisor you will already have some experience in dealing with business immigration applications. You will be responsible for handling immigration issues, providing legal advice to clients and assisting with home office applications.


Qualifications

  • must have completed the LPC or be OISC regulated


Main Responsibilities of the Role:

 

  • Report directly to Department Director
  • Professional pro-active approach, strong client care skills and a sensitive and sympathetic understanding of clients’ needs
  • Assisting with casework including dealing with a range of Business Immigration matters
  •  Attending clients, taking instructions and preparing cases
  • Dealing with correspondence
  • Preparing applications to meet Home Office requirements
  • Maintaining accurate time costing procedures
  • Ensuring compliance with file management.
  • Willingness to learn

 

 

Key Skills Required:

·     Demonstrate passion and experience in a range of business immigration matters

·     A strong academic background

·     At least 1 year legal experience as an Immigration Paralegal/Senior Caseworker/Advisor

·     Clear understanding and application of UK Immigration Laws

·     Ability to research effectively and efficiently.

·     Business acumen and the ability to market the Company

·     Excellent communications skills to work effectively with all types of people

·     Excellent analytical and organisational skills and ability to use own initiative but know when to seek guidance

·     Committed team player, self -motivated and professional
