Senitor Ireland is thrilled to be working with an innovative company seeking a Cloud Security Architect to safeguard and optimize their cloud infrastructure. This role is crucial in establishing secure, resilient cloud environments across platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP, ensuring that security best practices and compliance standards are seamlessly integrated into the company’s cloud operations.


The Cloud Security Architect will design and implement security architectures, lead security initiatives, and maintain compliance with industry standards, making a significant impact on the organization’s security posture.



The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud security architecture, a strong understanding of threat landscapes, and the ability to work across departments to secure cloud systems. Responsibilities include developing a comprehensive cloud security strategy, creating policies and standards for hybrid and multi-cloud environments, and partnering with DevOps teams to embed security within development pipelines (DevSecOps). Additionally, the Cloud Security Architect will manage risk assessments, lead security audits, and establish advanced monitoring and incident response frameworks.


Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

· Equivalent industry certifications may substitute for a degree based on experience.

· 7+ years in information security, with a focus on cloud security architecture.

· Hands-on experience with cloud security tools (IAM, encryption, SIEM) and automation.

· Cloud Platforms: Extensive experience with AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud

· Security Architecture: Proficiency in designing secure, compliant architectures for multi-cloud and hybrid environments

· Cloud Security Tools: Skilled in IAM, encryption, SIEM, firewalls, and security automation

· Compliance and Risk Management: Familiarity with industry standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR) and risk assessment practices

· Experience integrating security within development pipelines alongside DevOps teams

· Incident Management: Expertise in establishing monitoring, threat detection, and incident response frameworks

· Technical Leadership: Strong communication and mentoring skills to guide security and IT teams

· Certifications: Relevant certifications like CISSP, CCSP, AWS Solutions Architect, or equivalent

Preferred qualifications include 7+ years of information security experience, certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or equivalent cloud certifications, and strong communication and leadership abilities.
