The Senior Full Stack Developer at everyLIFE Technologies will come with 5+ years of experience in commercial full stack development. They will be passionate not just about writing code but contributing to a project which makes a difference. This role will involve joining an existing team of 5 engineers, including backend, frontend and full-stack developers.

everyLIFE is a ten-year-old, fast-growth SaaS provider primarily to the UK social care market. Our primary product PASS helps carers to deliver the best care outcomes for those they assist, by eliminating time-consuming paperwork and lowering the risk of medicine mismanagement via Android, iOS and web-based services.

You will:

  • Design, develop, test and deliver well engineered code, collaborating with Product to ensure that we are releasing value early and often
  • Work closely with the existing team – reviewing code, discussing solutions and being involved in refinement sessions
  • Drive continuous improvement through code reviews, system design to ensure that all code is clean, consistent and secure
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of development languages, frameworks, tools and design patterns
  • Promptly escalate issues that affect product delivery and quality
  • Maintain and manage our Continuous Integration and Delivery pipelines and tooling
  • Have a passion to learn and continually improve
  • Provide on-call 24/7 rota for the server team apps and meet agreed SLAs for MTTR

You have:

  • 5+ years' experience of commercial full stack development
  • You write clean, testable code and expect others to do the same
  • You have excellent problem-solving skills
  • Good understanding of asynchronous programming
  • You take ownership and responsibility for your work
  • Strong knowledge of NodeJS and have experience building/maintaining a Node backend
  • Strong knowledge of Typescript or another typed programming language
  • Good React knowledge
  • Good understanding of MySQL or a similar relational database
  • Experience using Elasticsearch or a similar NoSQL database
  • Experience working with messaging systems / pub-sub
  • Experience writing automated tests
  • Awareness and passion for working in an agile environment
  • Experience of modern web and server-side RESTful development
  • Experience with Git
  • Experience of developer testing approaches
  • Experience of build and Continuous Integration pipelines and tools
  • Experience of TDD and BDD


You may have:

  • Knowledge of NestJS framework
  • Experience working with an ORM
  • Knowledge of Scala and functional programming
  • Knowledge of AWS services and infrastructure monitoring
  • Experience working with AWS Lambda functions
  • Experience working with microservices / micro frontends
  • Experience working with Docker / ECS
  • Experience with Netty and Akka or other non-blocking, multi-threaded IO libraries
  • Experience working with Jenkins/Bitbucket Pipelines
  • Experience in deployment and maintenance of Linux based servers
