Senior Process Engineer - Permanent - London


Our client is an Operating company in the Clean Energy space . This company is working on 4 large projects and have been awarded more work and therefore looking to add technical experts in the London Office.


All positions are permanent and will suit someone that is making a difference.


Role and Responsibilities

You will:

  • Act in a senior capacity within the Process Engineering department.
  • Participate in the development and delivery of process engineering turn-key projects, engineering specifications and deliverables (mass & energy balance, process descriptions, PFD’s, P&IDs, control philosophies, datasheets, pipework, equipment and safety system sizing calculations etc).
  • Be responsible for the design of process works.
  • Maintain the required technical quality of work.
  • Maintain planning control on scope of works
  • Ensure that designs comply with the relevant Codes, Standards, Regulations and Procedures
  • Liaise with sub-contractors and vendors to develop, deliver and troubleshoot solutions for the technology.
  • Work with project engineering departments to ensure that constructed design complies with technology requirements.
  • Define and lead minor projects to upgrade existing facilities.
  • Define and lead optimisation activities at operational facilities.
  • Work closely with the other engineering disciplines to overcome difficulties and find the best approach for the solution


Person Specification

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Process) or equivalent qualification.
  • Chartered (highly desirable) or Incorporated with a professional engineering institution.
  • Experience with using API, ANSI and ISO standards to design and specify process equipment.
  • Experienced user of Aspen HYSYS.
  • The role would suit a candidate with at least seven (7) years working experience, with at least five of those years in industrial process engineering design. On site and commissioning experience would be desirable.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Flexible and open-minded to new approaches and solutions.
  • Enthusiasm and aptitude to be part of a growing team.
  • The ability to progress with several different tasks simultaneously, self-manage and deliver to schedule.
  • An effective communicator with an excellent standard of oral and written English.
  • Sense of adventure, drive and a self-motivator.
  • Background and/or interest in alternative energy technology.
  • An excellent ability to work with Microsoft Office including MS Visio and Projects.
  • Travel to new and existing sites as required.
