Senior Quantity Surveyor – Structural Steel

Location: Northampton


I am looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading structural steel company with a strong pipeline of projects and a full order book. This role will involve working across sites between London and Northampton, managing all commercial aspects of structural and some secondary steelwork projects.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all quantity surveying duties, from tender through to final account.
  • Manage cost control, valuations, and variations.
  • Negotiate contracts and liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Conduct risk assessments and manage budgets effectively.
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting and forecasting.
  • Work closely with project teams to ensure successful project delivery.


Requirements:

  • Strong background in structural steel (essential).
  • Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within the steelwork industry.
  • Excellent commercial and contractual knowledge.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
  • Willingness to travel between London and Northampton as required.
