Role Overview

We are seeking a Business Analyst with expertise in data transformation projects to support the modernization of NHS data processes and platforms. The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders, technical teams, and product owners to gather, analyze, and document requirements. They will also help create a clear roadmap to transition from legacy tools like Alteryx and existing data stores to a more robust platform such as Palantir Foundry or Databricks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business and technical requirements.
  • Analyze existing data workflows, pipelines, and Alteryx-based processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
  • Translate technical processes into business-friendly documentation for stakeholder understanding.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed product backlog and roadmap in collaboration with the team.
  • Facilitate workshops and discussions to align on current-state challenges and future-state objectives.
  • Support proof-of-concept (PoC) efforts by ensuring requirements are well-defined and achievable.
  • Work closely with Data Analysts, Engineers, and Architects to ensure alignment of technical solutions with business needs.
  • Ensure all deliverables comply with NHS data governance and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in data transformation or modernization projects.
  • Strong understanding of data workflows, pipelines, and tools like Alteryx, Azure Synapse, and Azure Data Stores.
  • Familiarity with modern data platforms such as Palantir Foundry or Databricks (preferred).
  • Experience working in Agile environments, with proficiency in tools like Jira and Confluence.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to create clear documentation, including user stories, process diagrams, and business cases.
  • Familiarity with NHS processes and data compliance requirements is a strong advantage.
