Mechanical Design Engineer

Are you a detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer or graduate looking to take the next step in your career? I'm working with an ambitious and growing company specializing in industrial water treatment, delivering high-quality pure and wastewater systems across the UK and internationally.

About the Role:

They are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating P&ID's, layout, and general arrangement drawings, helping to develop 3D libraries for standard plant items, and ensuring quality control of manufactured designs. You will collaborate with clients to refine design details and contribute to the overall success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce high-quality technical drawings in a timely and precise manner.
  • Develop 3D libraries for standard plant components.
  • Work closely with clients on design details to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
  • Ensure quality control and validation of manufactured designs.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proficiency in Solidworks and familiarity with MS AutoCAD Lite or similar drafting software.
  • A degree or qualification in Mechanical or Design Engineering (preferred but not essential).
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • A proactive approach to self-development and continuous learning.
  • Experience creating P&ID's, layout, and general arrangement drawings is preferred
