Financial Controller

Forge Talent are currently engaged with a rapidly growing retail business based in Manchester city centre who are looking to hire for a Financial Controller. The role will be for 12 months on a fixed term contract. Reporting directly into an impressive Finance Director and working alongside a growing team.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the organization's financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial reporting.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business objectives and private equity investor expectations.
- Lead the financial planning and analysis processes, providing insights into key performance indicators, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Monitor and enhance internal controls, financial policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Manage day-to-day accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll, ensuring timely and accurate financial transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, as well as comprehensive financial reports for private equity stakeholders, highlighting key financial metrics and performance indicators.
- Work closely with external auditors to facilitate annual audits and ensure timely completion of financial statements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role, with a track record of success in private equity-backed environments.
- ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified
