Our client, one of the largest financial institutions headquartered in Japan, is seeking a Japanese speaking Senior Credit Analyst to join their team in London. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a prestigious organisation that offers a diverse range of financial services.


Location: London/Hybrid

Daily Rate from £400 via Umbrella Company


Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Governance team, focusing on quality outcomes and operational excellence for credit risk management operations.
  • Assist the Director/Vice President of Regulatory and Policy Management in their functions.
  • Work closely with the Credit Supervision Group to establish a robust foundation for credit risk management.


Daily Duties Include:

  • Manage the production of various reports, including KRI, CD KPI, and other management information.
  • Provide practical solutions and guidance to staff in applying the bank's credit policy and rules.
  • Assess and challenge the design of management frameworks and reporting processes.
  • Manage system change projects to improve relevant databases and systems.
  • Provide training on the bank's Credit Risk Management Framework.
  • Conduct root cause analyses and propose improvements to relevant departments.
  • Ensure the department has adequate policies and procedures in place.
  • Take ownership of issue resolution and work with other teams to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Collaborate with enabling functions in the bank to ensure adequate controls.


Background and Skills:

  • Good understanding of Credit Risk Policy, Rules, and Procedures.
  • Relevant experience in the financial industry.
  • Business level Japanese language proficiency.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications, especially Excel, Word, and Power BI.
  • Bachelors degree.
