Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our BESS team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering with specific experience in the design, development, and deployment of battery energy storage systems. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance BESS solutions that meet industry standards and customer requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical systems for BESS projects, including electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and system layouts.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and technical evaluations for BESS installations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, mechanical engineers, and software developers to integrate BESS with renewable energy sources and grid systems.
  • Perform detailed electrical calculations, including load flow, short-circuit analysis, and protection coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations, including IEEE, NEC, and UL requirements.
  • Develop and review technical specifications, design documents, and test plans for BESS components and systems.
  • Conduct testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of BESS installations to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Provide technical support and training to clients, field engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Stay updated with advancements in BESS technology, energy storage solutions, and industry best practices.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of ESS technology, including in particular Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), developments and key players
  • Proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD, ETAP, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of power systems, energy storage technologies, and grid integration.
  • Experience with control systems, SCADA, and PLC programming is desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
