My client seeking a talented Part-Time Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to exciting projects at the intersection of software development and emerging technologies like the metaverse, Web3, and blockchain.


Position: Part-Time Software Engineer

Location: Canary Wharf, London

Duration: Permanent

Hours: 20 hours p/w


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain software applications using Java, Python, and JavaScript.
  • Design, implement, and test APIs to facilitate seamless integration between different systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions within specified timelines.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and technologies, particularly in the fields of the metaverse, Web3, and blockchain.
  • Troubleshoot and debug complex software issues, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.


Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Java, Python, and JavaScript, with a strong understanding of software development principles and best practices.
  • Experience working with APIs to integrate software systems and services.
  • Familiarity with the concepts and technologies associated with the metaverse, Web3, and blockchain.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities, both within the team and with stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience developing applications for the metaverse, Web3 platforms, or blockchain solutions.
  • Knowledge of popular frameworks and libraries in the Java, Python, and JavaScript ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or active participation in developer communities.
