Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Fabricate and assemble: Be able cut pipe set up fittings/butts for welder ( Typically 1/2" to 30" Carbon & Stainless steel)
  • Assembly and Disassembly: Assist in the assembly and disassembly of piping systems and associated equipment.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Documentation: Maintain daily record sheets of pipefitting activities.

Skills / Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Pipefitter in an industrial setting, preferably within the petrochemical, oil and gas, or manufacturing industries.
  • Evidence of time served apprenticeship (preferable)
  • NVQ Qualification (preferable)
  • Knowledge of pipefitting techniques, materials, and equipment.
  • Proficiency in using pipefitting tools and equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices.

Requirements:

  • Valid pipefitting trade qualification or equivalent.
  • Safety certifications - CCNSG Safety Passport or similar (CSCS)
  • Overtime and weekends, as required
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Expected hours: 40 – 58 per week

  • Basildon, Essex: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

  • Pipefitting: 1 year (preferred)
