We are seeking a Security Engineer with a strong background in cloud and network security. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone who is experienced in Cyber Security and has worked in Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) environments. You will play a key role in ensuring the security of our cloud platforms and network infrastructure, utilising tools like Splunk, Prisma Cloud, Prisma Access, and overseeing security operations in Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Incident Management: Respond to and manage security incidents, ensuring quick resolution and minimal impact on operations.
  • Governance & Compliance: Monitor compliance with industry standards, including NIS (Network and Information Systems) regulations and CAF (Cyber Assessment Framework), and contribute to audit processes.
  • Security Strategy: Assist in defining and implementing the overall security strategy, covering both cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Cloud Security: Oversee and enhance cloud security configurations on Azure and GCP, including monitoring, threat detection, and incident response.
  • Network Security: Manage and secure network infrastructure using Palo Alto tools, ensuring robust firewall configurations and traffic monitoring.
  • Security Development Lifecycle: Support the secure development and deployment of applications, collaborating with DevOps and engineering teams to integrate security practices.

Key Requirements:

  • 3-4 years of experience in Cyber Security, ideally within a CNI environment.
  • Proven experience in Cloud Security (Azure, GCP).
  • Hands-on experience with security tools, especially Splunk, Prisma Cloud, and Prisma Access.
  • Knowledge of network security principles, with experience in managing Palo Alto network security solutions.
  • Strong understanding of NIS regulations and the Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF).
  • Familiarity with the Security Development Lifecycle (SDL), including threat modeling, secure coding practices, and vulnerability management.
