This is an exciting opportunity to join their rapidly growing Data Engineering and Data Science division, focused on building impactful products for the AdTech and MarTech industries.


About the Role


We seek a highly experienced and motivated Head of Data Engineering to lead a talented team of 20 data engineers. You will oversee developing, implementing, and maintaining cutting-edge data solutions within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This is a critical role with a high degree of autonomy and the chance to make a significant impact on the future of data-driven marketing and advertising.


Responsibilities:


  • Provide technical leadership and strategic direction to a team of 20 Data Engineers.
  • Design and implement robust and scalable data pipelines and architectures using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies (e.g., BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Functions).
  • Champion data quality, governance, and security best practices across the division.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders across the business to understand their data needs and deliver impactful solutions.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the data engineering function, fostering a culture of learning and experimentation.
  • Manage budgets and resource allocation, ensuring efficient and effective utilization of the team's expertise.


What you need:


  • Extensive experience leading and managing large data engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Deep understanding of data warehousing principles, ETL processes, and data modeling techniques.
  • Hands-on expertise with GCP technologies such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Functions.
  • Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices, including CI/CD, version control, and testing.
  • Experience with AdTech and/or MarTech data solutions is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate high-performing teams.
