Job Purpose


A leading group of airlines is looking for an “Head of Data Analytics", to be located in London, or Madrid or Barcelona.



Main Responsibilities


  • Lead a team responsible for leveraging data to drive strategic insights and optimize Supplier Cost performance across the group.
  • Provide strategic direction and vision for the data analytics function within the Procurement department of the Company.
  • Spearhead the in-depth analysis of Supplier Cost performance across the group at a micro and macro level, identifying nuanced trends, patterns, and key movements through sophisticated data analytics methodologies.
  • Architect and implement a comprehensive Supplier Cost framework at the group level, orchestrating actionable insights to the Management Committee, thereby empowering strategic decision-making.
  • Work with the Finance teams across the airlines to gather and understand Supplier cost reporting currently in place.
  • Liaise with the airlines Finance teams to reconcile P&L impact of initiatives. Align Supplier Cost reporting with the company’s strategic vision, and proactively anticipate and mitigate future risks to the cost base.
  • Cultivate robust partnerships with cross-functional stakeholders, serving as a strategic advisor on financial impact of decisions and challenging where appropriate.
  • Deliver a robust internal and external benchmark cost performance across the company.
  • Utilise data to solve key business problems: responsible for providing relevant insights to help the company make the right decisions, address key challenges, and identify new ways to grow.
  • Provide senior executives and stakeholders with holistic insights into the group’s performance across all value streams, generating a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.


Job requisites


  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Data Analytics or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 10-20 years of relevant experience.
