We believe in building relationships, not just producing accounts — helping clients understand their numbers and grow with confidence.The RoleDo you want the opportunity to join a practice where your input and expertise will be valued and recognised?We’re looking for an experienced and qualified Accounts Senior (ACA/ACCA) to join our growing team. This is a hands-on, client-facing role ideal for someone who enjoys variety, responsibility, and working closely with small business owners.You’ll prepare and review accounts and tax returns, supervise junior colleagues, liaise with clients, and provide business advisory insights. The position offers a clear route to Client Manager level, typically within 12–18 months.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare year-end accounts for limited companiesPrepare corporation tax (CT600) and self-assessment tax returnsReview work completed by junior team membersLiaise directly with clients to resolve queries and provide practical adviceIdentify tax and business advisory opportunities for clientsEnsure compliance deadlines are met and quality standards maintainedSupport process improvements and promote cloud accounting toolsAssist with team development and workflow managementRequirementsACA or ACCA fully qualifiedMinimum 3+ years post-qualification experience in an accountancy practiceExperience working with SME/owner-managed businessesStrong working knowledge of UK accounting and tax complianceExcellent attention to detail and review skillsConfident communicator with a client-focused mindsetProficient in XeroNo audit experience requiredBenefits£35,000 – £45,000 DOE28 days holiday + your birthday offCPD support (professional subscriptions, training)Free gym use (no Benefit in Kind)Free parking onsite (and walking distance from Ty Glas train station)Option for private medical insuranceFriendly, modern working environmentOpportunity for progression to Client Manager roleHow to Apply Please email your CV to Louisa Jones at hello@agjaccountants.co.uk Visit our website: https://agjaccountants.co.uk
