Guidewire Data Senior Developer


For one of my leading insurance clients I am seeking an experienced Guidewire Data Senior Developer to join their dynamic IT team, supporting the development and implementation of Guidewire data solutions. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in designing, developing and optimizing data models, ETL processes, and analytics solutions that support the core Guidewire applications, specifically PolicyCenter. Knowledge of BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter is a plus. This role requires a deep understanding of Guidewire's data architecture and a strong background in data engineering within the insurance industry.


Experience:

Minimum 5+ years of experience working with Guidewire data products (DataHub, InfoCenter) in an insurance industry setting.

Advanced knowledge of xCenters database structure, specifically with Policy Center.

Experience in analysing how the data is saved in the database.

Good knowledge of how Guidewire is supporting my clients business processes.

Experience being the point of contact between Guidwire developers and Data Analysts and Developers

Good SQL knowledge.

Strong experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and integration design.

Hands-on experience with PL/SQL, and data management tools.

Expertise in implementing Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter is highly preferred.


Technical Skills:

Proficiency in ETL tools (such as Informatica, Talend, or SSIS) and data integration techniques.

Strong knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.) and data warehousing concepts.

SQL.

Solid understanding of Guidewire's data architecture, including the OOTB data models.

Experience with data migration, business intelligence (BI) tools, and data analytics is a plus.


Soft Skills:

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Leadership and mentoring experience are a plus.


Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications; Guidewire DataHub/InfoCenter certification is highly desirable.

Education; Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.


Key Responsibilities:

Data Architecture & Design:

Lead the design and development of scalable data models, ETL processes, and data integration solutions aligned with Guidewire's application suite (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter).


Development & Customization:

Customize and enhance Guidewire DataHub, InfoCenter, and data-related configurations to meet business requirements, ensuring high performance and data accuracy.


ETL Processes:

Develop, optimize, and maintain ETL pipelines for extracting, transforming, and loading data between Guidewire systems and external data warehouses, ensuring data consistency and integrity.


Data Integration:

Design and implement integration solutions for seamless data flow between Guidewire systems and third-party applications, databases, and reporting platforms.


Guidewire Implementation:

Participate in the end-to-end implementation of Guidewire systems, ensuring that data solutions meet business objectives and performance standards.


Testing & Validation:

Ensure data accuracy through comprehensive unit testing, integration testing, and system validation, working closely with QA teams to resolve any defects.


Collaboration:

Work collaboratively with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into effective technical data solutions.


Documentation & Support:

Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for data models, ETL processes, and system configurations. Provide ongoing support for data-related issues in production environments.


Mentoring & Leadership:

Mentor junior developers and data engineers, sharing best practices, providing guidance on complex technical challenges, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
