Eleven17 are engaged with a prestigious London Higher Education organisation, and are looking for a stand out Integration Engineer to join our team.

 

The role is contract (outside IR35), offering an initial 6 month term with scope to extend.

 

We are seeking an experienced Integration Engineer with a strong background in Microsoft Azure technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for the low level design and development of integrations between cloud-based and on-premise systems, applications and platforms, predominantly using Azure services. This roles requires expertise in building scalable, supportable and efficient integration solutions, ensuring seamless communication between systems, and working with cross-functional teams to meet the business needs. 

 

Key Accountabilities 

  • Develop and implement seamless integrations between the new CRM solution and the existing systems using Azure Services such as: Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure API Management, and Azure Service Bus 
  • Create data pipelines and workflows using Azure Data Factory for efficient batch integration 
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs to facilitate communication between systems 
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of low level integration designs, processes and interface contracts 
  • Ensure all integration changes are version controlled and documented for future reference 
  • Ensure integration solutions align with enterprise/solution architecture, security standards, data principles and best practices 
  • Implement security best practices to safeguard data during transfer, such as encryption, authentication and access control 
  • Ensure that integrations meet industry compliance requirements such as GDPR and PIC-DSS 
  • Monitor and optimise integrations, identifying and resolving issues to ensure performance and reliability 
  • Stay updated with the latest technologies, methodologies and frameworks for integration to keep solutions modern and efficient 
  • Prepare reports and dashboards to track integration performance using Azure Monitor and Azure Application Insights 

 

Experience 

  • Proven experience as an Integration Engineer having worked on enterprise-level solutions and integrations 
  • Experience with Raisers Edge, BlackBaud CRM and MS Dynamics 365 is desirable 
  • Solid understanding of cloud architecture and integration platters including event-driven architectures, microservices, and message-based communication 
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft services such as: 
  • Azure Logic Apps & Azure Functions 
  • Azure API Management & Azure Service Bus 
  • Azure Data Factory 
  • Power Platform Power Automate 
  • Experience developing and consuming APIs and web services 
  • Knowledge of API security standards and Azure Active Directory integration 
  • Proficiency in C#, .NET, or other modern programming languages 
  • Experience of DevOps including CI/CD pipelines, version control and deployment strategies 
  • Experience with Databricks and Azure Data Lake is desirable 
  • Experience of working with external stakeholders to understand and investigate feedback into the service, function, or product provided 
  • Experience working as part of an agile delivery or a product team in a matrixed organisation

  • Ability to deliver quality and maintain a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to produce integration designs in line with the wider enterprise and solution architecture designs, patterns and principles 
  • Capable of prioritising and managing own workload 
  • Understands the concepts of change and release management 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work in a collaborative team environment

Education & Qualifications 

 

  • Certifications such as Azure Developer Associate are desirable
