We're looking for a resourceful & well connected Business Development Consultant in the Clean Energy sector to join our team part-time, freelance or as a consultant.


Summary of the Role: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Lead to spearhead our business development efforts in the clean energy and sustainability sector within the UK & European market. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in business development, a deep understanding of the clean energy industry & Sustainability Industry and its players, a strong network of contacts and a passion for driving positive environmental impact. You’ll be working directly into and alongside the Director of Business Development and the Head of Client Services enabling new discussions with the marketing teams of prospects in the Clean Energy & Sustainability  Industry.  This is an exciting opportunity to work across the top brands in the UK Clean Energy & Sustainability space,, collaborate with the agency leadership, and contribute to our agency's growth and success.



What we’re looking for: Our ideal candidate will have following qualities & attributes: 


  • 5 Years+ experience in the UK clean energy & Sustainability Industry, preferably working with marketing  departments.
  • Deep knowledge of the clean energy and sustainability sector, including familiarity with industry trends, regulations, and key players.
  • Strong network of contacts within the clean energy and sustainability ecosystem, including potential clients, partners, and influencers.
  • Dynamic and eager approach to develop new sales leads and always be securing new discussions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and solutions in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and results-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Proven ability to build and nurture long-term client relationships, driving customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Curious Mind & eager to learn.



Your role & responsibilities:


As a Business Development lead for Clean Energy & Sustainability at Platform 195, your responsibilities will include:


  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to drive revenue growth and expand our client base in the clean energy and sustainability sector.
  • Identify and prioritise target accounts, leveraging existing industry knowledge and networks to establish meaningful connections with key stakeholders.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to prospects,, understanding their unique business objectives and challenges, to identify business opportunities.
  • Drive the end-to-end sales process, from prospecting and lead generation to negotiation and deal closure.
  • Collaborate closely with our marketing team to develop compelling sales collateral, presentations, and proposals that showcase our expertise and value proposition.
  • Populate and update on an ongoing basis company CRM for pipeline management and reporting.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities, providing valuable insights and recommendations to inform our sales and marketing strategies.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with industry influencers, trade associations, and other relevant organizations to enhance our visibility and reputation within the clean energy and sustainability space.
  • Represent Platform195 at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to promote our brand and forge new business partnerships.
