Chief Executive Officer (CEO)This high-growth UK defence-tech innovator is redefining sensing and autonomy. With proprietary algorithms already transforming radar, sonar, and electronic warfare systems, they’re ready to scale — and they need a commercially sharp, strategically minded CEO to lead the way.Role Overview:Location: Hybrid (Liverpool – 1–2 times per month on-site)Package: Up-to £150,000 + Bonus + Share OptionsIndustry: Defence, AI, Software, Sensing TechnologyWhat You’ll Be Doing:Setting and executing the company’s strategic direction in a pivotal growth phaseOwning commercial growth — from building customer pipelines to securing strategic partnershipsLeading sales hands-on in early stages, then building a high-performance commercial teamWorking closely with the CTO to shape a market-aligned product roadmapTaking the lead on funding, investment, and financial planningEnsuring robust governance, cybersecurity, and compliance with defence and export controlsCreating a culture of innovation, integrity, and high performance across the businessMain Skills Needed:Executive leadership experience within defence, deep-tech, or high-security environmentsProven ability to scale early-stage or high-growth tech venturesStrong commercial instincts and a record of delivering measurable resultsWorking knowledge of UK MOD, R&D funding, and defence procurement cyclesSector knowledge in radar, EW, sonar, or autonomous systemsExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skillsUK national (SC Clearance preferred or eligibility required)Degree essential; postgraduate qualifications a plusWhat’s in It for You:Lead a company with groundbreaking IP and real momentumWork alongside an experienced board and technical leadershipShape both commercial direction and long-term impact in UK defence innovationCompetitive salary, performance-linked bonus, and equity upsideHybrid flexibility with minimal on-site requirementsLet’s talk about what your next move could look like.We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
