We are searching for a Management Accountant to support our Transport team on a permanent basis, working Monday to Friday. The role offers a salary of £40,000 to £50,000 dependant on knowledge and experience.

As this is a UK based role, it can be worked from any of our UK sites in Bury St. Edmunds, Swindon or Lutterworth but there will be a need to attend the Lutterworth sites at least twice per week.


Main purpose of job

  • To ensure the P&L and Balance Sheet’s are effectively managed inline with weekly operational reporting

Key tasks

  • To produce and maintain schedules for monthly costs recognising them in the P&L by client and total UK transport
  • Create monthly journals for costs and balance sheet reconciliations
  • To manage and analyse business mix by client and reconcile carrier invoices actual costs vs contracted rates
  • Working with operational teams to enhance the Financial and Operational performance and understanding
  • Working with Carrier suppliers to ensure accurate and timely billing of Transport activity
  • Production of insightful Client reporting driving insight to internal stakeholders to drive accountability and improvements
  • Produce the budgets and reforesting throughout the year working alongside the data analysts, reconciling each week to actuals
  • Working with the Onboarding teams to ensure the seamless integration of new clients into Bleckmann
  • To promote and create a continuous improvement culture through identifying areas for improvement and positively acting on them
  • To foster a positive working environment through regular communication with the team, providing feedback; encouraging ideas, developing skills, understanding concerns and celebratinng success.
