The Role
As a Funds Associate, you will:
- Advise clients on the structuring, formation, fundraising, and operation of private investment funds across various asset classes
- Draft and negotiate fund documentation, investment management agreements, and related documents.
- Provide advice on regulatory and compliance matters impacting investment funds and asset managers.
- Work closely with partners and senior lawyers on cross-border fund matters.
Requirements
- Qualified in England & Wales, or Commonwealth qualified with relevant London experience.
- 3+ PQE, with a strong academic background and training from a highly regarded City firm, Magic/Silver Circle, or peer US firm.
- Proven track record working on private investment funds and asset management matters.
- Strong understanding of investment funds, asset management laws, regulatory frameworks, and related transactions.
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage complex matters and provide commercially focused advice.
