PROJECT ENGINEER (SOLAR & BESS) - MIDLANDS/STAFFORDSHIRE


Consult Energy are working with a leading generator of low-carbon power in the UK. They're an innovative company that specialise in various energy generation methods from methane capture to Ground Mount Solar and Battery Storage. Their work significantly reduces the impact of greenhouse gas emissions on climate change while providing secure and efficient local power generation.


They are looking for two Project Engineers, one with an Electrical background and the other with a Controls & Instrumentation (C&I) background. Both positions will be part of the clients Solar & BESS team and they are new positions that the company has not previously had. You'll be responsible for providing desing, installtion and commisioing expertise for their 1GW pipeline


Responsibilities


  • Defining initial project Electrical OR C&I requirements for Solar and BESS; reviewing and approving submitted designs.
  • Conduct site inspections to verify that specifications and construction meet the required standards.
  • Analyse and suggest improvemements to designs/processes


Requirements


  • HND/Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience working with LV & HV systems (ideally design experience) OR Controls & SCADA systems
  • Comfortable with regular travel to site (Locations in South Wales, North West and Lincolnshire so being central to these is ideal i.e. Midlands/Stafforshire etc)


Benefits


  • £45-60,000 Dependant on Experience
  • £9,000 car allowance
  • Bonus worth up to 25% (Average payout is 20%)
  • 25 days of annual leave + Bank Holidays
