Role OverviewThis role sits within our Project Delivery Team and plays a pivotal part in shaping the customer experience at Netcentrix. As a Technical Solutions Consultant, you will be central to our audit and pre-sales function, whilst also providing hands-on delivery and expert consultancy across a wide range of projects.You’ll be customer-facing, acting as a trusted advisor to stakeholders and IT leaders. From conducting audits and uncovering opportunities, to designing solutions and supporting their delivery, you’ll be directly influencing how our customers modernise, secure, and optimise their IT environments.This is an opportunity to join a growing Managed Services Provider where your expertise will be valued, your ideas will be heard, and your career can develop.The role is a 12-month fixed term position initially with the opportunity to move to a permanent role, in line with business growth.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as a trusted advisor to customers, auditing IT environments and building strong customer relationships to develop a deep understanding of their IT landscape.Deliver document solutions and professional recommendations aligned to the customers business needs and the Netcentrix product portfolio.Identify, scope, and qualify opportunities for both one-off and recurring revenue projects.Feed audit outcomes into the sales process, supporting opportunity development and project success.Design solutions across infrastructure, networks, Microsoft 365, Azure, and Cyber Security technologies.Support the project delivery team to ensure projects are implemented on time, within budget, and to quality standards.Provide technical consultancy and maintain strong customer engagement throughout the project lifecycle.Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry best practices to provide thought leadership.What We OfferA chance to work on diverse and challenging projects across modern IT technologies.A collaborative and supportive culture where technical expertise are valued and developed.A temp-to-perm career pathway with clear opportunities for professional growth and certification.Exposure to a wide range of customers and industries, building your consultancy and technical skills.Reporting to the Project Delivery Manager, the key responsibilities of the role are as follows:Partner with account managers and the sales team to support the full sales cycle.Conduct discovery sessions with stakeholders and IT contacts to assess current infrastructure, applications, and business needs.Translate business requirements into technical solutions across multiple IT disciplines (infrastructure, networking, cloud, security, Microsoft 365, Azure).Prepare and deliver technical presentations, proposals, and solution designs.Document customer environments through audits and assessments, identifying both immediate and long-term opportunities.Provide guidance and thought leadership on emerging technologies and industry best practices.Support project delivery by collaborating with the Professional Services team to ensure proposed solutions are implemented successfully.Act as a trusted advisor to customers, building strong relationships to encourage long-term engagement.Skills & Experience RequiredEssentialProven ability to successfully deliver customer-facing technical consultancy and building trusted relationships with customers and colleagues across the business. Strong knowledge across IT infrastructure, networking, Microsoft 365, Azure, and cyber security, with the ability to proactively design and implement effective solutions.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and positively influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Proven track record of producing clear professional documentation and solution designs. Experience producing professional documentation and solution designs.Collaborative approach, able to work closely with sales, delivery, and support teams to achieve business objectives.Proven ability to confidently conduct discovery sessions to successfully identify customer needs and proactively assess IT environments.Proven ability to produce successful, on-time, high standard project outcomes, exceeding the customers' expectations.DesirableRelevant vendor certifications (e.g. Microsoft, VMware, Cisco, Fortinet, Veeam, Ubiquiti).Hands-on Microsoft Azure architecture and migrations experience.An understanding of security frameworks (e.g. Cyber Essentials, NIST, CIS).Knowledge of modern networking technologies (SD-WAN, SASE & ZTNA).Experience in Managed Services or Managed Services Provider environments.Commercial awareness with the ability to align technology proposals to business outcomes.Experience running workshops, technical demonstrations, or proof of concepts.A willingness to continue to expand knowledge into new technologies.
