Position Overview:

Our client is currently seeking a dedicated Tax Associate to join their esteemed team in London. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a qualified solicitor with a passion for tax law to contribute to the firm's renowned tax practice and work on complex and challenging tax matters.





Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert legal advice and support to clients on a wide range of tax matters, including corporate tax, international tax, and VAT.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of tax laws and regulations to provide accurate and timely advice to clients.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including tax opinions, tax agreements, and tax compliance documents.
  • Assist in tax planning and structuring for corporate transactions, mergers, acquisitions, and reorganisations.
  • Represent clients in tax disputes and negotiations with tax authorities.
  • Keep abreast of changes in tax legislation and provide proactive advice to clients on potential impacts and opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring exceptional service delivery and client satisfaction.





Qualifications:

  • Qualified solicitor with a strong academic background in law, specialising in tax law.
  • Demonstrable experience working in a reputable law firm or in-house legal department, with a focus on tax law.
  • 1-4 years PQE
  • Solid understanding of UK tax legislation and regulations, with knowledge of international tax principles being advantageous.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply tax laws to complex situations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Membership of the Law Society of England and Wales or equivalent professional body is desirable.
