My Client: My client is a leading freight forwarding company dedicated to providing innovative and efficient logistics solutions to our clients worldwide.

Job Description:

My client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Ocean Import Operator to join our dynamic team. As an integral part of their operations, you will be responsible for managing the ocean import process from start to finish, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods for our clients.

Responsibilities:

  1. Customs Clearance: Handle customs clearance procedures for ocean imports, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and documentation requirements.
  2. Shipment Coordination: Coordinate with carriers, agents, and vendors to arrange timely pickup and delivery of cargo, ensuring smooth operations throughout the import process.
  3. Documentation: Prepare and review all necessary import documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs documentation, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  4. Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates on shipment status, resolving any issues or concerns, and addressing inquiries promptly and professionally.
  5. Tariff Classification: Classify imported goods according to tariff schedules and regulations, ensuring accurate assessment of duties and taxes.
  6. Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by proactively addressing client needs, offering solutions to challenges, and maintaining positive relationships with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  7. Compliance: Stay up-to-date with changes in import regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements to ensure compliance and mitigate potential risks.
