Venari Legal are delighted to once again be partnering with our international client who are looking for an experienced associate to join their Technology, Media and Telecommunications team based in Glasgow.


You will be working with one the UK’s key TMT teams and will have the chance to be involved in some of the most innovative work in the field. You will be working as one team across Edinburgh, Glasgow, London and Milton Keynes and will work with an interesting variety of clients across all sectors. You can expect a broad mix of work ranging from commercial contracts, technology contracts, outsourcing, intellectual property as well as data privacy work.


This role will suit someone who is excited by the opportunity to contribute to their own growth as well as helping develop the team as a whole. You will have the chance to :

  • Advise on market leading TMT projects and transactions for a variety of clients across the UK and internationally.
  • Build and maintain client relationships, with a good level of client contact.
  • Contribute to business development, raising your own profile and supporting the continued growth of the practice.
  • Contribute to thought leadership and raise the profile of the firm externally.


To be considered for this role you will ideally have the following experience:

  • Experience of non-contentious TMT work - commercial contracts, technology contracts, outsourcing, intellectual property & data privacy.
  • TMT support work e.g. drafting the commercial / TMT section of due diligence reports, negotiating warranties and indemnities.
  • Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Experience working on similar work for sophisticated clients is desired.
  • Experience of providing client seminars and training.
  • Advanced legal research skills.
  • Experienced in contributing to business development activities.
  • Dedication to client service.
  • A keen interest in technology, and an understanding of how businesses implement and use technology
