Business Development Manager - Transportation

A leading industrial automation solutions provider specializing in innovative projects across multiple industries are recruiting a "Business Development Manager" that is targeting the Transportation market
Role Overview:
As the Business Development Manager - Transportation, you will play a critical role in driving the company's growth within the transportation sector. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Representing the company through direct or digital communication to potential clients.
- Delivering exceptional service to both potential and existing customers, ensuring the company's reputation as a top-tier systems integrator remains intact.
- Generating and pursuing new leads, making client appointments, and exploring all sales opportunities.
- Managing the complete sales cycle, from lead generation and solution pitching to negotiation, project handover to the Engineering team, and kick-off meetings with customers.
- Preparing detailed proposals and specifications with the support of the Sales Applications team while adhering to company procedures.
- Staying informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and developments in drives, digital, and automation technologies.
- Representing the company at industry events and tradeshows to network and secure new business contacts.
- Complying with the company’s ISO9001 & ISO14001 standards, alongside other procedural guidelines outlined in manuals.
- Supporting colleagues and maintaining strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Regular travel, including overnight stays and occasional international trips.
Your Profile:
To excel in this role, you should bring:
- At least five years of experience in a similar position.
- Expertise in systems integration, encompassing Variable Speed Drives, PLCs, Robotics, SCADA/HMI products, MES/MIS, simulation, smart solutions, and autonomous mobile applications.
- A proven ability to sell tailored solutions across diverse industrial applications.
- Established relationships with senior-level customer contacts.
