My Client


My client is a digital insurance platform designed to simplify the process of offering and accessing insurance products. They partner with companies across various industries to provide customised, white-labeled insurance solutions, focusing on improving accessibility and customer experience. The platform leverages advanced technology to streamline underwriting, distribution, and claims management, enabling businesses to offer insurance to their customers seamlessly through digital channels. Its goal is to make insurance more affordable and easier to purchase, ultimately widening coverage for consumers.


They are currently searching for an experienced insurance lawyer to join their team on an initial 6-12 month contract.


The Role


  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of legal documents.
  • Provide advice on local regulatory and general legal issues, including research and drafting legal opinions, while supporting compliance-related legal matters such as data protection and market conduct.
  • Oversee legal aspects of projects and strategic initiatives within the EMEA region, such as operational footprint changes.
  • Create templates, policies, and processes, and contribute to projects aimed at enhancing efficiency and improving processes.
  • Track and report on changes and trends in relevant laws and regulations.
  • Prepare presentations, draft legal reports, and deliver training sessions.
  • Manage and optimize the engagement and utilization of external legal counsel.


The Requirements


  • E&W Qualified with at least 4 PQE experience.
  • Have a minimum of three years post qualification experience, preferably in a law firm or in-house in the (re)insurance industry; experience in (re)insurance law, and regulations.
  • Have experience and understanding of regulatory and licensing topics in cross-border scenarios.
  • Possess excellent drafting, negotiation and influencing skills and can manage legal and compliance related matters.
  • A 'can-do' attitude towards your work.
