Sharpsmart Finance team have an opportunity for an experienced Book Keeper to join the fast paced team based in Spennymoor.


Key Role Focus

  • Accurate matching, coding and posting supplier invoices in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring purchase requisitions are correctly approved by regional business units and central departments
  • Creating new supplier accounts and dealing with supplier queries
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Preparation of payment runs
  • Posting and allocating payments on system
  • Reviewing and posting Corporate Credit Card expenditure
  • Coordinating travel requests and bookings
  • Oversight and management of shared mailbox


Candidate Profile

  • Excellent communication skills for verbal and written
  • Experience of interacting with customers via phone/email/video
  • Highly self-motivated, and able to work both independently or as part of a team, managing your own workload and priorities
  • Able to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Able to use and adapt to new computer-based systems including Microsoft packages
