Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Functional Architect with expertise in the Backbase platform to design and deliver innovative digital banking solutions. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementations, leveraging Backbase capabilities to create scalable, user-centric, and compliant digital experiences.


Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Architecture

Translate business requirements into functional designs, ensuring optimal use of Backbase platform features.

Create end-to-end architecture for digital banking solutions, aligning with industry best practices and organizational goals.

Define workflows, wireframes, and detailed functional specifications for implementation teams.

Backbase Expertise

Lead the configuration, customization, and integration of Backbase components (widgets, APIs, services).

Advise teams on Backbase platform capabilities, limitations, and best practices.

Ensure the architecture aligns with Backbase’s microservices and modular principles.

Stakeholder Collaboration

Act as a liaison between business, technical teams, and external stakeholders to ensure shared understanding of requirements.

Facilitate workshops to gather, validate, and refine business and functional requirements.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

Validate the implemented solutions against business requirements and user expectations.

Ensure compliance with banking regulations, data security, and accessibility standards.

Perform functional reviews and provide recommendations for improvements.

Team Support & Enablement

Guide development teams during implementation, addressing functional challenges and resolving issues.

Provide training and knowledge sharing on Backbase platform features and capabilities.


Skills & Qualifications


Required:

8+ years of experience in digital solution design, with 3+ years in Backbase implementation.

In-depth knowledge of the Backbase platform, including:

Widgets, services, and APIs.

Backbase architecture and customization capabilities.

Strong understanding of digital banking workflows and customer journeys.

Proficiency in creating functional documentation, such as BRDs, use cases, and user stories.

Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
