The Head of Control Systems will lead a team of experts working on leading edge EV technology. Working closely with the whole technical team, the Head of Control Systems will deliver innovative solutions for the Control Systems.


Role: Head of Control Systems

Salary: £60k to £85k (depending on experience)

Location: Northern Ireland


Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee the Control System Department by contributing to the creation of the technology roadmap, defining strategies, and planning projects.
  • Develop functional briefs in collaboration with the Technical Team.
  • Manage the engineering process for control laws and algorithms across various boat systems, including flight systems, propulsion control, and energy management.
  • Work with the Compliance Engineer to secure relevant certifications for eFoiler sales.
  • Participate in and support system validation and verification testing through SIL and HIL.
  • Ensure compliance and reporting requirements are consistently met.
  • Provide effective line management for the Control System Team.
  • Mentor and develop team members within the Control System team.
  • Collaborate with other functions to achieve organizational goals.


Education/Qualifications and Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or related field.
  • Candidates without the relevant qualification but have substantial relevant experience at the appropriate level will also be considered.
  • Minimum of 6 years experience working with Control Systems.
  • Experience managing and leading a Control Systems team.
