Our client is seeking additional support and is looking to hire an Assistant Financial Accountant.

You will be working closely with experienced professionals, you will gain invaluable insights and hands-on experience, enhance your skills and knowledge by working with advanced accounting software such as Sage 200 and Salesforce.

This role supports part-qualified accountants (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, AAT, QBE), with the experience to be able to assist the team and the Head of Finance as well as the organisation.

Engage in a variety of tasks, from financial reporting and reconciliations to audit support and compliance. This diverse role ensures that no two days are the same, keeping your work both challenging and rewarding.


They are offering £30k - £35k per annum depending on experience, this is a full-time, perm position with working hours from Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:30.


Key Responsibilities

- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

- Perform bank reconciliations, supplier and customer account reconciliations, and

balance sheet account reconciliations.

- Process invoices, payments, and manage accounts payable and receivable.

- Maintain and update the general ledger with accurate transaction records.

- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.

- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

- Analyse financial data to identify discrepancies and variances.

- Prepare and maintain financial documentation and records.


Skills and Qualifications

- Part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, AAT, QBE) or equivalent.

- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar financial role.

- Proficiency with accounting software, preferably Sage 200 and Salesforce.

- Strong Excel skills are essential.

- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
