This highly regarded commercial practice is looking for a Construction Lawyer to join their tier ranked team for an initial six month contract.

Working on a variety of matters, for a mix of both UK and International projects, the Construction team work closely alongside the wider Real Estate and Planning team, to advise on all elements of the build space including infrastructure projects, framework agreements and construction contracts for commercial, residential and mixed used properties. As well as working on projects, the team also advise on construction disputes such as delays, defects or contract variations.


This role will largely focus on non-contentious construction contracts work, including JCT and NEC contracts, any associated procurement contracts, pre-construction service agreements and generally providing commercial advice throughout to resolve issues and minimise risk. You may also be asked to provide assistance on commercial disputes work as needed.


The team are looking for additional support from a qualified solicitor with at least three years of post-qualification experience, in order to provide additional resource during a busy period. Candidates are required to have this level of pqe as a minimum as the aim is for the individual to work relatively autonomously, albeit with Partner supervision.


Candidates could work on a part or full time basis, on a hybrid or remote (must be in the UK to work) basis. Applicants should be qualified in England and Wales ideally, but Commonwealth qualified candidates that have worked in the UK at Legal 500 and above commercial practices will be considered if they have the requisite construction experience.
