Are you a skilled Mechanical Engineer with expertise in HVAC or piping systems? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments? If so, Hinkley Point C (HPC) wants you


The Role:

As a Mechanical Engineer (HVAC/Piping), you’ll take the lead in reviewing and resolving engineering queries for HVAC and piping systems across CI/BOP and Nuclear Island buildings. You’ll work with diverse teams, ensuring design and installation meets our safety, quality, and efficiency standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Solve Problems Fast: Address queries, non-conformances, change, and exemption requests.
  • Ensure Compliance: Oversee nuclear safety and environmental regulations.
  • Drive Excellence: Challenge design decisions to meet project goals.
  • Collaborate: Work with contractors, design teams, and external partners.
  • Mitigate Risk: Assess and resolve technical risks.
  • Build Relationships: Maintain strong ties with EDF EPR Engineering.
  • Report: Proactively update and advise Engineering Leads.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualifications: Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in HVAC or piping design, installation, and commissioning, ideally in the nuclear industry.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of multidisciplinary engineering.
  • Regulatory Know-How: Familiar with Health & Safety, CDM, and Nuclear Site License regulations.
  • Self-Starter: Proactive and able to work independently while managing site challenges.
