Great opportunity to work for a growing clean technology company within the mobility sector. Our client is seeking an experienced Embedded Firmware Manager to manage the software team. The right candidate will have a strong embedded engineering and firmware background with a proven history of mentoring and leading large engineering teams.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the embedded firmware engineering team and oversee full design, development, and implementation of embedded systems.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards. Plan, execute, and manage multiple projects working collaboratively with other engineering departments.
  • Mentor and develop engineers. Leading up to 10 engineers, line management and technical support. Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
  • Stay current with advancements in embedded electronics specifically working with manufacturable electronics components and ensure design for manufacturability (DFM).Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical/electronics, Computer Engineering or related field.
  • Extensive embedded firmware engineering.
  • Experience leading technical teams of 10+ people
  • Proficiency in embedded software development (C/C++).
  • Strong knowledge of microcontrollers, microprocessors, and embedded OS.
  • Experience with manufacturable electronics components and DFM.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
