C++ Developer - Quant Development Team
Company insight:
A well-established systematic HFT fund, operating across multiple locations, is currently seeking a C++ developer to contribute to the optimisation of the firm's ultra-low-latency trading system and research platform. Founded less than a decade old, this firm is expanding rapidly and is looking to hire talented technologists from tech and finance to help with its expansion, especially within execution and electronic market making.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute as a core developer within the Quant Development team, working alongside Quant Researchers and Traders.
- Working hands-on across critical components of algorithmic trading systems, including:
- Enhancing the firm's Ultra-low-latency trading system (nanosecond-level precision)
- High-throughput research platforms processing terabyte-scale data volumes daily.
- Distributed analytics infrastructure leveraging massive cloud computing environments.
- Tackle complex, high-impact technical problems essential to optimizing the desk's performance.
Requirements:
- Strong expertise in modern C++ development.
- Solid grasp of underlying abstractions, including CPU, memory, OS, and network mechanics.
- Proven ability and commitment to take full ownership of projects, from concept to deployment.
- Effective communication skills suited to a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Python is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience, ideally within a quantitative trading environment but not a prerequisite.
