This is a new Senior Liquidity Risk Analyst contract role at a fast growing bank. This will be for a six month contract initially but may extend or transition to a permanent position.


This role sits within the team responsible for the continued development of Liquidity & Funding Risk (L&F) management and Recovery & Resolution Planning (RRP) across the group. The team is critical in ensuring the ongoing efficiency of the bank's balance sheet, and the effective identification, management and control of all liquidity and funding risks across the group.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the assessment and ongoing development of the L&F framework
  • Be a key contributor to the group’s day-to-day liquidity and funding risk management activities, including balance sheet analysis, metric monitoring and reporting.
  • Ensure that the QRM system remains fit for purpose for liquidity and funding risk management.
  • Develop subject matter expertise to support the review and challenge of all liquidity COREP returns (LCR, NSFR, Asset Encumbrance and PRA110).
  • Support the end-to-end activities for the group’s ILAAP, covering topics including stress testing, risk appetite monitoring, policy setting and the development of a strong control framework.
  • Collaborate with the wider Finance team to support Treasury’s contribution to the planning and outlook process, primarily for liquidity and funding risk management.
  • Support the end-to-end activities for the group’s Recovery and Resolution Plans, including the monitoring and early warning indicator frameworks.


Key Skills

  • Comfortable with analytics and be able to translate those for different audience groups across the Group.
  • Strong communicator, able to manage a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Experience within Financial Services in a similar role, preferably at a retail bank/building society.
  • Strong attention to detail, pro-active, can-do attitude, and a team player.
  • Comfortable working with large datasets using the appropriate tools (e.g. SQL).
  • A good level of expertise with ALM systems
