Knowledge/Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable product strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Solid understanding of product development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with product management tools and software.
  • Knowledge of market research and competitive analysis techniques.
  • A passion for technology, innovation, and user-centred design.


Qualifications – Education/Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager, ideally focused on detection equipment, or any relevant product, within CBRN and Civil Nuclear industries.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field. MBA or equivalent experience is a plus.
  • Experience in an international or globally focused role is a plus.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy: Develop and execute product strategies aligned with business goals and market trends. Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer interviews to identify new product opportunities and enhance existing offerings.
  • Product Planning: Define product requirements based on market needs, customer feedback, and business objectives. Create and maintain product roadmaps, feature prioritization, and release plans. Collaborate with engineering, design, and other teams to ensure timely and successful product delivery.
  • Product Development: Lead cross-functional teams to develop and launch new products. Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to define product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Conduct regular product reviews and provide feedback to ensure high-quality product development.
  • Product Launch: Coordinate product launches, ensuring effective communication and alignment across marketing, sales, and customer support teams. Develop product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies. Monitor product performance and customer feedback post-launch to identify areas for improvement.
  • Product Performance: Track and analyse product metrics, customer feedback, and market trends to evaluate product performance and identify opportunities for optimization. Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and drive continuous product improvement.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including executives, sales, marketing, and customer support teams, to ensure alignment and support for product initiatives. Act as a product evangelist, effectively communicating product value proposition and benefits to internal and external audiences.


Additional:

  • Must have right to work in the UK or EU
  • Home or Kromek HQ (County Durham, UK) based
  • Ability to travel < 30% of time
  • If home based, regularly visit the Kromek HQ for meetings
  • Fluent in English; additional European languages beneficial
