A day in the life...

  • Working closely with Customer, People, Operations, Product, Leadership Members & Group teams to identify areas of improvement in sales, service, employee experience, product and ensuring challenges and needs are understood, and that the best course of action is selected.
  • Bringing the right Customer Team SMEs to leadership meetings/Working Group meetings at the appropriate times, to create shared understanding, improve plans, make Informed Business Decisions, and build relationships.
  • Working with Leadership Teams to identify critical business questions, deliver comprehensive insights and analysis to answer the key questions and present the results in a clear, concise, and actionable way that will drive sales and innovation.
  • Developing and evolving the organisations deep understanding of customer preferences, behaviours, and needs through qualitative and quantitative research to influence marketing strategies, improve our products and enhance the customer experience.
  • Design and deliver research to improve the experience of working at Nando’s and the wider world of work, inside and outside of the hospitality sector to significantly improve the recruitment, retention and reward of Nandocas.
  • Implement regular competitor analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats and recommend strategies and actions to enable Nando’s to compete and win sales / market share.
  • Identify and establish strong partnerships with research agencies, negotiate contracts, service level agreements and set the approved financial parameters for each project.
  • Set the Insight standards for research projects and ensure research activities adhere to legal and ethical guidelines, including data privacy and confidentiality.



Hot Skills

  • 5 years + experience within an Insights role
  • Stakeholder management and partnering , working with people from all disciplines, at all levels, to bring out the best in all.
  • Diagnosing barriers and drivers of success, making recommendations, and putting in place action plans to unlock results (preferably across sales and service)
  • Combining data from a variety of sources to make evidence-based decisions.
  • Working cross-functionally to lead and influence decision making.
  • Setting stretching targets and measuring performance
  • Experience in managing agencies, ideally including an insight community, and managing research projects end-to-end.
  • Bringing stories to life with confidence and assurance that influences and inspires audiences from Board level to restaurant teams, through a natural written and verbal presenting style.
  • Helping other to understand ‘why’, with analytical expertise, across large/multiple data sets.
  • Challenging, influencing, and inspiring senior stakeholders especially Leadership Teams
