Technical Support Officer (Highways Asset/Network Maintenance)




Location: Stockport & Cheadle Heath




Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 37 hours per week, office-based 5 days per week. Flexible working options are available within the set hours, but hybrid working is not an option due to the specific requirements of the role. The successful candidate will be required to work exclusively from one of the two specified sites.




We are seeking a skilled Technical Support Officer to join our client's dynamic team, focused on the planning and project management of various streetlighting and signage maintenance schemes.




Key Responsibilities:




- Estimate and Account Verification: Checking contractor estimates and verifying the accuracy of accounts before processing payments in Confirm and SAP systems.

- Data Management: Accurate data entry into the asset management system.

- Budget Monitoring: Keeping track of scheme budgets to ensure financial efficiency.

- Administrative Support: Performing general office duties to support the team's operations.




Essential Skills and Qualifications:




- GIS Systems Proficiency: A strong understanding of GIS systems is crucial.

- Construction Knowledge: Familiarity with construction practices and processes.

- Attention to Detail* Ability to meticulously check and verify financial data.

- Organizational Skills: Efficient in managing multiple tasks and maintaining accurate records
