We are seeking an experienced, passionate and creative Waiter to join our team at the 58th Street Country Club.

We are looking for an individual with experience in the high-end restaurant sector, or, experience in creative projects and hospitality. You will be passionate about hospitality and believe in our mission of bringing TLE’s immersive experiences to the widest audience possible.


As a waiter, you will play a crucial role in the successful execution of TLE’s guest experience, helping to ensure that the service runs smoothly and efficiently. As well as delivering our 6-course menu, you’ll also embody the spirit of the 58th Street Country Club by bringing your own hospitality character. You’ll work closely with the Hosts, Bars and Hospitality Managers in ensuring exceptional guests experience as well as bringing genuine time travel to the 1930's inspired venue.


We expect all our teams to uphold the integrity of the immersive world and so a willingness to embody the style and sounds of 1930 is a must. We will provide all uniform but will expect a commitment from the team in terms of personal grooming, hair, facial hair and make-up to be ‘in world’ and genre specific. References, training and adequate on-shift time will be provided to support this. We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates who are American, comfortable working with an American accent, or in developing a back-story to how a non-American would come to be working in New York in 1930.

Role details:

  • Full-Time Position Commencing early September for training, previews for the experience begin in October.
  • Salary: £15.50 per hour
  • Hours: Guaranteed Hours and Zero Hours available, full time and part time available

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Previous experience of working in a restaurant environment
  • Passion for creative projects and the arts
  • A working knowledge of wine and cocktails
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Experience with EPOS and PDQ machines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced event-style dining experience
  • Ability to work in an American Accent
  • Willingness to adhere to the aesthetic of the 1930 era.


Desirable skills and qualifications:

  • Food Hygiene Level 2
  • FSA Allergen Trained
  • First-Aid Trained
  • WSET Level 2
  • Knowledge of theatrical production process - particularly with the Health and Safety measures required to work in a performance space.
