Job description


Omnia Strategy is an international law firm focusing on the prevention and resolution of international disputes, and the operationalisation of human rights. We work with governments, businesses, private clients and civil society organisations to deliver elegant and effective solutions to complex challenges, using an innovative cross-disciplinary approach. We handle a wide range of matters, including high-profile cases before a wide range of tribunals, courts and mechanisms – from investor-State and commercial arbitration to international law matters before national, regional and international courts and other bodies – as well as advocacy campaigns, strategic and technical advice, and investigations.


We are looking for an exceptional, ambitious individual to join our team in London as an arbitration associate. The role will require a particular interest in international arbitration and international law with technical expertise of all aspects of the arbitral process. Candidates should be entrepreneurial, confident, creative and enjoy problem solving.


The position demands a variety of skills including:

  • Dispute Resolution Work: Working with the team of associates and partners on international arbitration matters, particularly preparing legal submissions and supporting documentation;

 

  • Research & Drafting: investigating and preparing reports on matters including but not limited to law, policy, business and current affairs, briefs and memoranda;

 

  • Project Management: supporting and coordinating projects; developing and delivering pitches, progress reports, and presentations; applying strategic problem-solving skills to facilitate project outcomes.

 

Qualifications

 

  • NQ to 4 years PQE with at least a silver circle law firm (or equivalent in their jurisdiction of qualification) or specialised arbitration boutique;
  • Excellent academic record, undergraduate degree with minimum 2:1 achieved;
  • Existing experience (not simply academic) of international arbitration and a commitment to a career in international dispute resolution, including State to State dispute settlement, commercial and investor-state arbitration, contentious human rights matters and ADR;
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is required, with other languages considered an asset; and
  • Experience beyond private legal practice valued but not essential.
