Great career opportunity for a new-business focused Area Sales Manager to join a leading industrial automation innovator and drive further business expansion in the UK West Midlands/North West sales territory.


The role suits a consultative industrial automation/capital equipment new business sales hunter who excels at uncovering opportunities, proposing value-based solutions, and securing sales.


The Opportunity


Linx Printing Technologies is a leading provider of industrial printing, coding, and laser marking equipment to manufacturing companies across sectors, including food & beverages (‘best before dates’ etc).


Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, based at home ideally around Birmingham, West Midlands, Worcestershire, Staffordshire, Cheshire etc, and travelling 3-4 days a week across the sales territory, the Area Sales Manager engages with new prospects (60% focus) and existing customers to propose solutions from the entire Linx hardware range, as well as finance and service agreements.


This richly varied sales role encompasses account plan development, lead generation and prospecting, mapping decision-makers, product demonstrations, collaboration with marketing on targeted campaigns, trade fairs, and the execution of the entire sales cycle to the highest professional standards.

The Ideal Candidate


  • ‘New business hunting’ focused Area Sales Manager, ideally with industrial automation / hardware / capital equipment sales within manufacturing environments
  • A consultative approach, excellent interpersonal skills, good commercial awareness, and technical understanding to uncover and solve customer’s needs
  • Strong sales administration, forecasting and reporting, using SFDC etc
  • Lives within the designated sales territory and able to drive widely 3-4 days a week with some occasional overnight stays away from home when required
