Our client is a well-established, premium games provider based in the United Kingdom, and they’re currently on the lookout for both a Junior and Mid-Level ‘Games Graphic Designer’ to join their studio’s art team, focusing on execution of high quality art projects.


Responsibilities


  • Execute high-quality 2D projects, ensuring that they meet or exceed stakeholder expectations and are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including project managers, artists, game designers, and team leads, to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Collaborate with the Game Design Team and the Head of Product to develop and refine design concepts and provide creative input to the project vision.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of art processes and standards, and continuously look for ways to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Be able to identify potential technical challenges ahead of time and provide accurate timelines for project completion.
  • Interact with peers within the department and cross-functionally with other departments and external vendors, as well as negotiate and influence senior internal and external stakeholders.



Requirements

  • Professional experience in 2D art production, although open to freelance or graduate experience for the junior position.
  • Strong proficiency in 2D design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects.
  • Excellent artistic skills and a strong understanding of composition, colour theory, and visual storytelling.
  • An understanding of game design principles and mechanics.
  • Experience with Blender 3D software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer graphics, Digital Art, or related field
