Role Summary:

This leading Medical Device company are currently seeking an experienced Metrology Technician to join their team based in Southminster who will be responsible for identifying measurement needs and perform measurement tasks using tools, equipment, instrumentation and software programs.

Responsibilities:

• Perform calibration and testing of various measurement instruments and equipment.
• Maintain calibration records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose measurement equipment issues.
• Develop and implement calibration procedures.
• Ensure equipment accuracy and precision by following established protocols.
• Collaborate with other departments to address metrology-related concerns.
• Stay updated on industry standards and regulations related to metrology.
• Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Assist in the selection and procurement of new metrology equipment.
• Conduct periodic audits to verify compliance with calibration procedures and standards

Requirements:

- Competent machine programmer (Circa 4 years experience)

- Working with Mitutoyo CMM with a scanning probe - SP20 - drive programming with that

- Medical Device Industry preferred - not essential
