We are currently seeking a talented Business Architect to join a leading Lloyd's Managing Agency on an exciting contract assignment. This is an Outside IR35 role based in London, offering the opportunity to work within a prestigious environment, contributing to key transformation initiatives within the Lloyd's market.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement business architecture strategies aligned with business objectives, focusing on enhancing operational effectiveness.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across the business, including senior leadership, to define and structure solutions that drive growth, operational excellence, and competitive advantage.
  • Analyse current business processes, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement, and designing solutions that meet both short- and long-term objectives.
  • Support the design and implementation of business process transformations, leveraging your expertise in business architecture frameworks and methodologies.
  • Collaborate with the IT and business teams to ensure alignment of solutions with technical capabilities, focusing on driving efficiencies and value within the underwriting and broader insurance operations.


Essential Requirements:


  • Proven experience in Business Architecture, specifically within the specialty insurance environment.
  • Lloyd's Market experience is essential – familiarity with the unique structures and processes of the Lloyd's insurance marketplace will be key to your success in this role.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage with senior business leaders and technical teams.
  • Experience with underwriting workbench or similar underwriting platforms is highly desirable, enabling you to support the transformation and integration of underwriting processes.


Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of industry-standard business architecture frameworks and methodologies.
  • Experience in process re-engineering, business change management, and requirements gathering.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate complex business requirements into clear, actionable plans.
