Overview

Everest People Solutions is currently recruiting for a passionate Business Development Manager to join our client, a leading supplier of fresh, locally sourced fish and seafood in the UK. Due to expansion, this role will cover Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire, focusing on developing and nurturing relationships with new and existing customers. If you have a genuine love for food and enjoy building relationships, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers across Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Opportunity Identification: Use strategic questioning techniques and resources to identify opportunities within the existing customer base and prospective clients.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain a detailed and updated working pipeline document, tracking all prospective business opportunities.
  • Communication: Provide accurate and timely feedback to management and other departments to ensure service excellence and identify growth opportunities.
  • Performance Reporting: Report monthly on sales performance and future plans, implementing action plans as necessary.
  • Health & Safety: Follow best practices and processes to ensure the health and safety of both employees and customers.


Essential Requirements:

  • A genuine passion for food, especially seafood.
  • Previous experience in the food industry; seafood experience is highly advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • High level of professionalism, combined with a personable and approachable manner.
  • Analytical mindset for identifying and optimising growth opportunities.
  • A valid UK driving license and the ability to travel across the region.


Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in business development or a sales role, particularly in the food sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of the marketplace and food industry trends.
  • Experience with CRM systems and maintaining a sales pipeline.
